| Own-Root Roses: These are roses which are growing on their own roots rather than the grafted roses you typically see at the discount stores. Own-root roses have a lot of advantages. You never see suckers which are actually the root-stock trying to grow on its own. These plants are hardier if they are grown on their own roots and do not freeze out only to be a once blooming old fashion rose. Own root roses do not start to decline after several years but come back year after year. |
